Plain English summary: FinishArc is a training tool, not a coach and not a medical professional. Use it to plan and track your running, but listen to your body and talk to a doctor if you have any concerns.

1. What this is

FinishArc is a training app for distance runners. It is not a coaching service, not a medical product, and not affiliated with or endorsed by any coach, training organization, race, or governing body. It is software that builds a plan from the numbers you give it.

2. Who can use this

By using FinishArc you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live if that age is higher, and that you can enter into a binding agreement. FinishArc is not intended for children and should not be used by them.

This is a training app used by adults making their own decisions about hard physical activity, which is why the bar is set at adulthood rather than at the lowest age the law would allow.

3. Not professional advice

The training plans, paces, workout recommendations, and race predictions in FinishArc are produced by an algorithm from published, widely used training principles and the inputs you provide. They are not:

Professional coaching or personalized coaching advice
Medical advice or a substitute for medical guidance
A guarantee of fitness, performance, or race readiness

Before beginning any training program, especially if you have existing health conditions, injuries, or haven't been physically active, please consult a qualified physician or certified running coach. If something hurts, stop and seek medical advice.

4. Use at your own risk

Running and physical exercise carry inherent risk of injury. By using FinishArc, you acknowledge that:

You are voluntarily participating in physical activity.
FinishArc provides training suggestions but cannot account for your individual health, fitness level, injury history, or real-time physical condition.
You are solely responsible for decisions about your training, including whether to follow or modify any recommendation the app makes.

5. No warranty

FinishArc is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. FinishArc makes no guarantees about:

Accuracy or completeness of training plans or pace predictions
Continuous availability of the app or data
Fitness of the app for any particular purpose or race distance

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FinishArc and its operator are not liable for any injury, illness, missed race, data loss, or any other outcome, up to and including serious injury or death, whether direct or indirect, resulting from use of FinishArc.

Any money paid for access to FinishArc is solely for access to the app. It does not create a coaching relationship, a duty of care, or any responsibility beyond providing that access, and it does not create liability for any injury, harm, or death you may encounter. You use the app, and train, at your own risk.

6. Refunds

If FinishArc isn't for you, you can request a full refund within 14 days of any payment, first payments and renewals alike, no questions asked. Reply to any receipt email to ask.

You are buying access to FinishArc from FinishArc. Payment is handled by Paddle, our merchant of record, which means Paddle takes the payment as an authorised reseller and appears on your card statement and receipt. Refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method, typically within 5 to 10 business days. One-time purchases, such as AI message credits, are refundable in the same 14-day window while unused.

Cancelling a subscription stops future charges immediately. Your paid features stay active through the period you've paid for, and your training history remains readable on the free tier. Before any annual renewal, you'll receive a reminder email where required by law. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under local consumer law.

7. Acceptable use

FinishArc is for training. When you use it, you agree not to:

break the law with it, or help anyone else do so
attempt fraud, or send spam or unsolicited messages through it
copy, resell or redistribute the app, its plans or its content, or use them to build a competing product
interfere with how it runs. No probing or scanning for weaknesses, no scraping, no malware, and no attempts to reach another person's account or data

We may remove content or restrict features that break these rules.

8. Suspension and termination

We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms in a serious way, if a payment fails and stays unpaid, if we see fraud or a security risk to other runners, or if the same problem keeps happening after we have raised it with you.

Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we do end your access, your training history stays readable and you can ask for a copy at hello@finisharc.com. You can stop using FinishArc at any time by cancelling in Settings or deleting your data.

9. Your data

How your data is collected, stored, and used is described in our Privacy Policy. By using FinishArc you agree to the privacy policy as well.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, the "Last updated" date above will be updated. Continued use of FinishArc after changes means you accept the updated terms.
